Demand Driven Improved Wash Services for the Urban Poor in Dhaka, Chattogram and Khulna Cities
The project aims to improve the health and quality of life of the target population by providing safe water and sanitation. The activities included providing different water supply systems; installing sanitary latrines and Small Bore Sewerage System (SBS); constructing footpath/drainage and public toilets; arranging vans to remove garbage; promoting wash facilities in 25 schools; making target population health conscious; preventing environmental pollution through human waste management by setting up dewaters and so on. 81 personnel is working in this project.

- Community received safe water points, hand device stations and sanitary latrines.
- Community received Health Awareness Sessions (CTC, Backyard Meetings, MHM, Video Shows, School Sessions, and Thistle), CBO Hygiene Promotion related training, CBO Rights and Advocacy, Teacher Training on Hygiene Promotion training and so on.
- Through inclusive approach of this project women got involved in participation activities and thus developed women leadership.
